A multi-cultural high school with approximately 670 students in Glen Innes, Auckland.

The lead teacher for Manaiakalani at Tamaki College is the Design teacher, Karen Ferguson.

Most departments and many individual teachers have created blogs in their specific subject areas and these link from the main blog, TCTV. They can also be accessed from the links below

Tamaki College shares and supports the aims of the Manaiakalani project; to raise student achievement outcomes and engagement in English, at the same time as providing a 21st century education.  They have had to create an approach that reflects the needs and constraints of a New Zealand high school with students changing class every period and the need to meet the requirements of NCEA.

In her role as lead teacher, Miss Ferguson has created a central blog, TCTV (see the image above right), as a focus for the project and to share students' work of general interest in the life of the college.

The literacy cycle developed for the Tamaki College projects can be viewed by clicking the image on the right.
